• In general. Feel free to speak from experience.

I'm hoping to get some real good answers.

  • i would think that in real times of crises they would panic more. faith and hope spring from god. kinda like some experiment with rats in which thrown in water many rats swam nonstop because there was a picture of land outside the glass. sadly many gave up and drown because they didnt have a picture to give hope.

  • my brotherinlaw is atheist. He's a really nice person and treats my sister like gold. The only thing i noticed is that he tends to blame things on luck. he doesnt believe in a god and just thinks you have to be in the right place at the right time. That is really all that is different about him. Otherwise, he is very normal.

  • There is a perceived difference when death is not involved. But the moment death enters the picture, the atheist will become a believer in something.

I have experienced this personally and have seen my other, former, atheists friends, come to the same realization. I have never seen a dieing atheist. They don't have to believe in a heaven or hell, but there is something about death that brings the belief into a man.

  • They rely on themselves and take charge in their lives, christians on the other hand have to rely on a intangible "Presence" and have to read a book written by goat and sheep herders!!
