• I wish that they would just go.

They are so full of hate ever since Obama won. It's unbelievable.

  • What do you mean, reinstated? Was it ever actually a law?

This is just the beginning of fascism, nothing more.

But to answer your question, they'd go to satellite. I'm not sure how even Obama would regulate a private broadcast market.

  • "Fairness Doctrine" is designed to silence the opposition that the MSM can't shut out. That is all it is and it is what it will do.

  • you aint seen nuttin sweet lips.you did not listen to the alarms, now you will pay the price for stupidity......the messiah only wants the power and your $$$$$$$$$$$ ! Report Abuse

  • They are already on satellite radio. And you can bet that the only place the "fairness" doctrine will be enforced is on conservative talk radio,

  • they will end up like howard stern

  • perhaps those targeted by the "fairness doctrine" are those who would be inclined to start a show in the future, rather than ones doing so at present;

for example, radio programming that would appeal to the musical, literary, etc. aesthetics of those who currently listen to NPR, but is conservative in content and focus. many people wind up listening to the DNC's agenda simply because they like classical or world music. A conservative talk show host who delivered (seduced) and interacted with callers with the "smooth" demeanor of NPR, Bill Moyers, etc. would attract the audiences who are too cool for Rush, so to speak.

  • Maybe, or perhaps immediately after their shows they would have to have a show with someone with views from the other side of the political spectrum. 2 hours of someone like Hannity, followed by 2 hours of someone who has opposite views

  • HAHAHAHA, fairness doctrine. coming from a liberal that is even funnier. fairness, the media was so left leaning in the last election and now you want the fairness doctrine. Why not have book burning too while we are at it. eh, comrade?

  • Love the way the left loves censorship. yes they would go but so would NPR , Dead Air America, along with Keith Olbermann, Keith Matthews, and a lot of others.

  • they are not going anywhere.
    get over THAT.

  • This oppressive law will never become reinstated. Not even the masses of misguided left are as ignorant as Pelosi and Reed are.

  • when the far left uses it to destroy all opposing view points they will go to internet broadcast or Satellite.

  • I would just LOVE to see how they would put balance into their shows.

  • No chance of it being reinstated. It cannot be helped or avoided if conservative talk shows are in more demand than their liberal counterparts. It's just another form of censorship and has already been deemed unconstitutional once.

  • offshore or satellite..

  • You do not understand what the Fairness Doctrine is if you think that. In short, it merely does not allow a station to broadcast a specific opinion for 24 hours a day. Some time must be allowed for opposing viewpoints (some time, not equal time). This could simply be done by a radio group by say offering one or two progressive format shows within their daily programming of Rush, Hannity, etc.
