Is it ok for me to have done this after a nasty fallout? - women please let me know?

nasty fallout - whoa! not the same guy, girl breakup. This was a FRIENDSHIP!!!! yes, my very good friend DUMPED me!!!!
reasons - i became too clingy :( wanted her to always be with me. yes, i gave too much importance to just one friend - HER. i argued so much that she was a more important friend to me than i was to her and stuff. she walked out when she saw this became a pattern and i was stressing her out.
what did i do after i got dumped - i kept trying to get my friend to talk to me and be a friend. i pushed her farther away.
i know it sounds silly. no different than a guy-girl breakup.
girls, i want to know if this is normal between women friendships after they go sour? i think any emotional relationship is the same be it with girls or boyfriends.
its been months. i felt rather silly for being so clingy and stupid. I am way over it. I e-mailed my friend taking responsibility for being so needy and stuff. I left it at that.
Is this ok?
Therefore my suggestion is let sleeping dogs lye, chalk it up to one of lifes mistakes, hope she forgives you, hope you forgive yourself and move on, there is no point in dwelling over spilt milk, last thing you need to do is fall into that vicious circle that you where in before.
For the future member what you did in the past and make sure/try your best that it does not happen again.

i once did that to my guy friend, and now things are SO bad..=(...even an email can't solve my problem...
don't you have other friends too?...spend time with them to prove to her that you don't need only HER to be happy.
