True or False: Did Sarah Palin say that Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience?
March 21st, 2010
"...Well you know, you can actually see Russia from Alaska..."
She actually said it, it's somewhere on youtube.
The SNL skit actually used the Couric interview WORD FOR WORD, which is why it was so funny!
Heres a video of CNN making fun of her:

It's too bad your other question on the same topic got deleted, because I had a great answer for you.
And if you're going to post a quote, do us a favor, and post the whole thing.
Couric: Have you ever been involved in any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?
Palin: We have trade missions back and forth, we do. It's very important when you consider even national-security issues with Russia. As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right next to, they are right next to our state.
What she DIDN'T say is that she can see Russia from her house. That was Tina Fey.
Other than boob bait for the bubbas, she was a total loss.
She never said that it gave her foreign policy experience, period. Couric said the "proximity" part
Sarah Palin said that Alaska and Russia had worked on many trade agreements because of their proximity.

But if that is the case, then I should have foreign policy experience seeing that I live so close to Canada. I should really know everything there is to know about them shouldn't I? lol
It is necessary to bill.
