True or False: Did Sarah Palin say that Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience?

  • When asked about her international diplomacy experience by Couric; her response was

    "...Well you know, you can actually see Russia from Alaska..."

    She actually said it, it's somewhere on youtube.

    The SNL skit actually used the Couric interview WORD FOR WORD, which is why it was so funny!

As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right next to, they are right next to our state.

  • True. The first time I heard someone say that was on Fox News. They were trying to make a point that she had experience. Under those standards anyone living in say Maine, is an expert on Canadian policies.
